Studies
Politehnica University of Bucharest
Through artificial intelligence in my PhD thesis I proposed to generate synthetic data for biomedical applications with GANs (Generative Adversarial Networks) to help physicians in their work.
Being a technical person, I like to keep myself updated with all full stack application development technologies, including those based on artificial intelligence. In this sense, I regularly attend specialized courses in the field.
Projects
During the last couple of years, I was involved in various projects that boosted my professional skills. I have a particular interest in medical engineering, some of my projects including this dynamic field.
Myoelectric Hand Prosthesis
The project aims to provide the patient with the basic function (prehension) and the flexion function of the four fingers, following the amputation of the hand, by acquiring signals from the muscles of the forearm and using them in order to put the prothesis in use. Based on this work, an article was also published in Sofia, 2019.
mHealthRecords
The platform was designed as an application that collects vital parameters in real time from smart devices and converts the data into HL7 communication standard which are then sent to hospitals around the world. By doing so, the patients are monitored 24/7 regardless of the geographical position.
Generative Adversarial Networks
Through artificial intelligence, I develop a synthetic neural network that can create artificial images indefinitely in the field of medical imaging. This helps to create data to serve the powerful algorithms developed in detecting issues of a medical nature and not only that. I am particularly excited to be among the co-organizers of ImageCLEF 2023. More details can be found here.

In this paper, we provide an overview of the upcoming Im-
ageCLEF campaign. ImageCLEF is part of the CLEF Conference and Labs of the Evaluation Forum since 2003.
This paper is aimed to design an anthropomorphic prosthetic hand controlled based on surface electromyography sensors data acquired from two important muscles.
